Bon Clay can use their power to change into an perfect replica of any individual they’ve touched with their right hand. The performer, who is identifies as non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will portray a rendition of that role reinterpreted as non-binary, rather than as a drag performer, in the real-life adaptation, differing from the source material and animated series.

Escola joins a number of new cast members tasked with bringing Baroque Works to life, such as chief Mr. 0, portrayed by Joe Manganiello, Sophia Anne Caruso as Miss Goldenweek, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who is also part of the lineup as the ruler of the fictional land.
