Iran Claims Attack on American Facility in the Kingdom of Bahrain, As Part of Widespread Counterattacks.
Iran's military claims to have hit a US naval base in Bahrain, as the country executed missile attacks across the region in response for a large-scale and ongoing offensive against it by the US and Israel.
Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an zone near the main base of the American Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The scope of any destruction is unclear and the American officials has remained silent.
Airspace Engagements
Elsewhere across the region, the UAE, Qatar and the State of Kuwait - which all house American military installations - stated they have shot down incoming projectiles in their airspace.
In Doha, Qatar's defence ministry announced it had successfully engaged several missiles seemingly aimed at the Al Udeid Air Base, the biggest US military installation in the Middle East.
Operation "Truthful Promise 4"
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated it was striking US bases and assets as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the attack on Iran carried out by the US and Israel on Saturday morning.
That US-Israeli operation - launched at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far struck sites associated with the the regime, with US President Donald Trump calling on the Iranian people to revolt against the regime.

In Israel, air raid sirens sounded across the country after the Israeli military stated it had identified an barrage of missiles from Iran.
The Ministry of Defence of the UAE stated that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems dealt with the projectiles with great effectiveness and shot down a series of missiles," the statement continued.
Officials reported missile fragments fell on a populated district in Abu Dhabi, resulting in some property damage and killing a civilian.
The United States Air Force operates from Al Dhafra Air Base, south of the Emirati capital, along with the Emirati Air Force.
