Loyal fans of Ariana Grande are calling for that a individual who leaped a barricade and touched the performer during yesterday's Wicked: For Good launch be detained or expelled from Singapore.

A circulating clip shows the Australian man bypassing camera operators and lunging at Grande while the actors proceeded down a promenade surrounded by fans.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo immediately pulled the stunned star away from Mr Wen, who was observed being removed of the event by security officers.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being taken in", though legal records revealed that he was scheduled to appear on the next day. It is uncertain if he was faced legal action.

Pattern of Incidents

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has disrupted a performance. His Instagram account contains videos of him disturbing other high-profile occasions, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney concert in June this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers performance in the same location last December.

"Measures must be taken enforced against him as this is evidently a legal violation," stated an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his act.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" one Instagram user wrote.

Fans Show Disapproval Over Grande's Past Trauma

Several followers criticized Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had discussed suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder after a devastating incident at the end of her 2017 performance in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and harming numerous individuals.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" said one more response on Instagram.

A number of fans also criticised guards at the gathering for not being vigilant enough; while different individuals demanded online networks to ban Mr Wen's uploads.

Response and Premiere Information

In clips circulating online, Grande seemed shocked when she was touched by the man. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen consoling her while Mr Wen was escorted away by security.

Grande has remained silent on the incident, and the remaining proceedings continued without further issues.

Many of Singapore supporters had lined up to see the actors of Wicked

Hundreds of supporters had congregated in a sea of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific premiere in a Singapore shopping center, including several who had queued for as long as eight hours before it commenced.

The movie, to be released on 21 November, is the sequel of a two-film adaptation of the well-known theatrical show Wicked, which focuses on the surprising friendship between two distinct sorceresses.

The show itself is a derivative of the twentieth-century children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the good witch Glinda, was decked out in a light pink glittering gown at the event while Erivo, who plays the Elphaba, wore a sleek black dress decorated with roses.

They were accompanied by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the most successful film of 2024 in the UK, and scored a dozen Academy Award nods, earning a pair for outstanding attire and production design.
