British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Lagos Following Fatal Car Crash

The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been released from care, officials in Lagos stated on Wednesday night. The athlete was part of a serious road collision near Lagos on Monday, a horrific crash that took the lives of two of his valued colleagues.

Healing from Light Wounds

Joshua had been receiving medical attention while recuperating from non-critical injuries, his promoter confirmed on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement online that Joshua was declared medically stable to leave and heal privately.

“Anthony and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two friends who passed away as they were being prepared for repatriation,” the commissioner stated.

Remembering the Victims

The victims of the crash were named as Latif Ayodele, Joshua's trainer, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. The official further stated that the athlete was heartbroken and full of emotions over the tragic loss of his two dear friends.”

His release from the hospital arrives after the global fight fans shared its support for the star in the wake of the heartbreaking incident.
